Jessie: Owner, Founder, Lead Programmer, Story-writer...
Raised by two good parents, Jessie was...oh wait...this isn't an autobiography? Right. Sorry about that.
A little about me? Well, I am currently 26 years old (or I was at the time of this bio submission), I was born and raised in the U.S. (Oklahoma/Arkansas to be more precise), I am Irish by blood, and I am extremely hunky...well, maybe not, but I am somewhat witty...sort of.
My favorite games are:
-Anything with Harvest Moon in the title (been following the series since the SNES game).
-Anything with Mario (or better yet, Luigi) in it, since the release of the N64.
-Toejam & Earl (Sega Genesis/Megadrive).
-The Legend of Zelda - The Twilight Princess (Gamecube)
I also enjoy pretty much any genre, but I'm more inclined to play Action RPG's, Simulation, Strategy, and from time to time, a good TPS.
Okay, so I started this thing doing the same thing that I'm sure every serious gamer has done before (yes, I'm looking at you when I say this. No, seriously, I'm looking at you through your computer screen with my super hero interwebz vision): daydreaming.
Yep, remember how your teachers used to scold you for daydreaming? Said it would never get you anywhere in life? Boy, were they wrong! Well, okay, so it may have started as a series of daydreams, but eventually I realized that I really wanted to share these ideas with people.
I began toying with this idea in December 2012, and around May 2013, I began talking with a friend (we'll call him Marcus ) about making a game for an internet community that we were a part of. Sadly, we never got to execute these plans, and it became a mere daydream again. However in August of the same year, I shared some of this idea with a friend (Cody "GenesisJunkie" Cable), and with my studies that I had already begun (for the idea back in May), and his immense knowledge of all things 16 bit (or at least all things Sega) and TCG's (we were planning on making a TCG at that time), we decided to make the dream a reality.
And so the two of us set out to make a game. We eventually had the obvious idea, "Hey, why stop at one game?", and so the idea for ImagineUnderdog was born, and we set out to revolutionize the game industry, one game at a time.
Soon, we realized that if we were going to do this (and we were), we would need some more help, and we quickly managed to recruit Drew (designer of this lovely webpage), and Sword Legion (An art guy, as well as a creative thinker for gameplay concepts). Later, we were joined by yoshirulez! (one of those programming nerds :p like me), and we got things rolling.
It's hard to believe how far we've come, and so quickly at that. Our mission at ImagineUnderdog, is to release games that offer fresh and new ideas, that let the gamer have some good clean fun, in a world filled with games that are clones of one another, and filled with less than appropriate content. Games that you wouldn't be ashamed to play with your kids, parents, or grandparents in the room, and yet are a blast, and offer engrossing storylines and in depth gameplay. We hope you find our games interesting and entertaining, and enjoy them as much as we enjoy sharing them with you. So go ahead and fire up that game, and know that it was made by a group of gamers just like you, who loved every moment of making it.
Game On!
