Sword Legion: Artist
I grew up in the country, away from the city with my parents
and six siblings. All of whom have been very encouraging of my march
into the gaming industry. I got into video games when I was only about
eight years old, and I loved them ever since. I still have memories
of playing the Sega Genesis and Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario 64, and
Bomberman on the Nintendo 64. I treasure these memories and the worlds that
these games brought me into. But my parents, alas, they only let us play
once a week on Friday nights- not quite enough for my taste. But me and
my siblings wanted more. . . To be confined to the walls of Princess Peach's
castle was not satisfactory enough. No.
So. . . Me and my siblings went outside. And there we began to
roleplay. We roleplayed Mario, Luigi, Toad, Bowser, Peach, Bob-omb Buddy-
anyone who was a Mario character that we knew about, and a few characters
we made up ourselves!
That evolved into an RPG. One with stats, and eventually that took
place on paper, but at that point, it wasn't Mario that we were doing
anymore. It was about knights, and dragons, "A Millman's Story" we called
it. And I aim to make a game by the very same name, based off the world
that I created in our childhood.
Right now, I work as a contractor. Sometimes I have to get up early
and come home late, but If I have time, I'll still work on my book or PC
game projects. Work isn't to bad. I enjoy my fellow employees, and my boss.
Their humor is much appreciated and contributes to a good atmosphere.
As a contractor there are lots of different things that we do. Sometimes
we replace roofs, other times we may build, or remodel a given structure.
It's not that bad, a little labor intensive, but good at keeping your body
in shape.
When I get home from work, there are a few activities that I like
to do. I try to spend time with my family as I don't get to see them as
much anymore. I like to play Star Wars, or Sonic on Steam. I occasionally
play my siblings Smash Bros or some other multi- player on a console. I also
like just walking around, and oh, I can always pet cats when I want to.
Games that I like include Sonic, Zelda, Star Wars, Bomberman, and a
few others, like Kid Icarus on the Wii Virtual Console. I like older games
because they are harder and more rewarding, hey, you have to work for that
bow in Kid Icarus! Arcade games are great too. I especially like the ones
where you fly a ship. Like Galaga, or Bosconian and Gravitar. (Gravitar is
so underrated!). Back in the day, action RPg games were still heavily based
off Arcade games, so this made them not only really tough at times, but they
also used levels, and sometimes a high score. I would like to bring people back
some of the memories of such games with our own products someday. But until
then, I'm working on it, and I'll be happy once it's complete. ^_^
